Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 2, Verse 44

भोगैश्वर्यप्रसक्तानां तयापहृतचेतसाम् ।
व्यवसायात्मिका बुद्धिः समाधौ न विधीयते ॥ २-४४ ॥

bhogaiśvarya-prasaktānāṁ tayāpahṛta-cetasām
vyavasāyātmikā buddhiḥ samādhau na vidhīyate 2.44

In their minds deeply attached to sense enjoyment and material opulence, and who are bewildered by such things, they are unable to possess the resolute determination to achieve Samādhi.

*When the mind is fixed for understanding the self, it is said to be in samādhi. (Different Stages of Samadhi)
